Peter's Father Eric started making dolls and toys in 1976. Peter joined him in 1984 and they worked together for 10 years . Now that Eric has retired Peter is running the business and is offering a range of dolls, this will include the traditional dolls with oval heads and a wooden nose, and the round headed contemporary dolls which have a finer finish with painted features..
A modern version of the Dutch doll they were first created by Eric in 1975. These Beech wood dolls are perfectly sanded and jointed. The bodies are turned by hand and all the limbs are hand finished. The joints are held together by wooden pins and no glue is used throughout their construction.
The traditional are a charming combination of Eric Horne's contemporary doll and the original Dutch doll made of pine, they are still made to the same high standard but have an oval shaped head as opposed to the round head of their modern counterparts.
New for May a limited edition of 10 traditional style dolls, using bodies turned and shaped by Eric Horne.
These one and a half Inch dolls are available to order now priced at £75.00
